We're Hiring a Facilities Maintenance
About the Position
0.5 FTE Starting at $26/hour
Connected Lane County is searching for a qualified facilities maintenance team member to work alongside program and administrative staff to ensure our buildings and grounds are clean and safe. The facilities maintenance person oversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities (2). Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, completing maintenance work, and maintaining records. Our ideal candidate is well-versed in facilities oversight processes and exhibits high multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures.
- Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements.
- Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol.
- Oversee the routine maintenance of the company vehicle and machinery.
- Run routine maintenance inspections.
- Monitor interior and exterior areas of buildings for cleanliness and general conservation.
- Maintain and communicate inventory needs, including food, drinks, clearing, and bathroom supplies.
- Pick up weekly/monthly ordering of supplies.
- Support cleaning expectations at each location, including laundry, dishwasher, window cleaning, floor sweeping, and vacuuming.
- Complete maintenance and installment work as needed.
- Travel between the two sites in Eugene and Springfield.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to lift heavy objects and do other labor-intensive tasks
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
- A valid Oregon driver’s license or the ability to obtain one by the hire date is required.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check.
Education and Experience
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification is preferred but not required
- Contract handling experience.
- Maintenance and handiwork experience.
- A combination of experience and education/training is considered.
