Dean Rea Internship at Lookout Eugene

Are you a journalism student in Lane County looking to gain practical newsroom experience while you complete your degree? Lookout Eugene is seeking current juniors, seniors, and recent graduates. You must be able to commit to 15 hours per week (at $18/hr) with a flexible schedule, and the program starts late January and runs through the end of May. Entry-Level Labor - Fabrication Shop

Sierra Pacific is hiring entry-level positions for their fabrication shop including CNC Machinist, Welding Fabricator, Plasma Table, and more! Responsibilities include assisting fabricators with prepping material, grinding, running a drill press, and using a band saw. Metal shop experience is preferred, and you must be at least 18 years of age. If you are interested, you can apply at Sierra Pacific Industries in-person, Monday through Friday during business hours.

Youth Permanency Specialist (Remote in Lane County)

Lifeguard

The Eugene YMCA has 3 open positions for part-time lifeguards. You must be at least 15 years old, and currently have CPR, First Aid, and a Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard certification. Responsibilities include maintaining active surveillance of the pool area, knows all emergency procedures and responds immediately, completes reports as required, and more. Sponsors seeks to improve outcomes and opportunities for individuals with conviction histories. They are hiring a Support Staff and Case Manager.

Responsibilities for the Support Staff position include monitoring common areas to ensure the safety and security of the facility, provide support services to participants, and ensure the safety of the Transitional Housing program throughout the overnight shift. This position is full-time, and starting pay ranges from $21.06 to $22.85 per hour.

Responsibilities for the Case Manager position include oversseing all aspects of Case Management for assigned program participants, ensure participants are compliant and progressing appropriately in transition/exit planning, assist in the coordination of program operations, and intra/inter-agency collaboration. Boys & Girls Aid is hiring a Youth Permanency Specialist who will work directly with youth and families to help them understand their permanency needs, process their history, and strengthen the relationships that support long‑term connection. This position is primarily remote, with regular travel throughout Lane County, Oregon to meet with youth, caregivers, and community partners. Must reside in the local area.
