The Youth Outreach Coordinator for our Spark program will be a key connection between youth, Connected Lane County, and local resources. Focused on outreach and relationship-building with the African-American/Black community, this role will engage youth by working with schools, families, and community organizations. As part of the Spark team, which provides hands-on STEM learning, the Youth Outreach Coordinator will collaborate closely with coordinators and program staff to connect youth with essential resources. This includes recruiting for and supporting programs like the Invention Lab, Invention Club, ACT-SO, and the Youth Advisory Board while strengthening partnerships with community organizations, including the NAACP.

The Projects Assistant will be key in expanding outreach and communication to engage more BIPOC youth. Collaborating with the marketing team and program staff, this position will help coordinate program messaging, craft data insights, and compile reports. The Projects Assistant will also support organizing outreach events to connect youth with equitable, work-based learning opportunities. We seek a candidate with a passion for outreach, relationship-building, and a commitment to our mission.

The Program Coordinator for the Spark program will plan, implement, and oversee program activities and events, supporting development, outreach, and partnerships while communicating with participants and families and collecting data. This role is key to providing equitable, high-quality, out-of-school STEM education to underrepresented youth, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to expand the program. We seek an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting youth success in STEM, experienced in leading workshops and event planning, and eager to drive growth and positive change within a collaborative team.
