Marketing Coordinator

About this Position

Salary Range: Starting at $50,000

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of Connected Lane County’s marketing and communication efforts to support partnerships, fundraising, community awareness, and engagement. Primary duties include managing the organization’s data collection, executing marketing and fundraising efforts, and tracking and monitoring marketing, fundraising, and program efforts. 

We are looking for a self-motivated and organized individual who is enthusiastic about our mission and passionate about storytelling, content creation, and data analysis. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about current marketing tools and strategies, possesses fantastic communication and time management skills, works well in a cross-functional team, and is highly attentive to details. 


  • Work with the marketing team to develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain content consistency, adhering to brand and style guidelines. 
  • Write content for marketing assets such as annual reports, newsletters, social media, presentations, surveys, e-newsletters, websites, and more.  
  • Coordinate work with Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant and provide direction, when necessary. 
  • Manage and update social media accounts.
  • Provide an editorial review of reports, articles, speeches, and presentations prepared by program staff.
  • Promote program events and activities through advertising efforts, media outreach, and more. 
  • Assist with media outreach efforts, help to compile and distribute media releases, respond to inquiries, etc. 
  • Assist in website management efforts including updating content, creating content, and managing SEO.
  • Track marketing data and analytics for campaigns and online activities.
  • Develop program surveys and manage data collection. 
  • Monitor and track donor and client data and information.  
  • Assist in managing projects and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or other related fields is preferred.
  • Must have at least two years of experience in a marketing operations role and managing projects.
  • Experience with conventional and digital marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, and data analytics is required.
  • A combination of experience and education/training may be considered. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Comfortability with Adobe Creative Suite and Google Suite is required.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with copywriting and editing experience.  
  • Highly developed organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines are both required. 
  • Excellent knowledge of survey tools, data analysis, and social media platforms.
  • Proficiency with the WordPress CMS and familiarity with HTML preferred. 
  • SEO and keyword research best practices are preferred. 
  • Photography and videography skills are preferred. 
  • Initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to creatively problem-solve and try new approaches. 
  • Ability to work harmoniously with internal staff, grantors, and agency partners.  
  • A valid Oregon driver’s license or ability to obtain one by the date of hire is required.
  • Spanish language skills are preferred.
