Join Weyerhaeuser Cottage Grove Lumber and make a difference! At Cottage Grove Lumber, we produce 390 million board feet of lumber per year. This is enough to build 27,000 homes of 2,000 sq.ft. We have 234 employees, 57 of whom have been here more than 20 years. Our process is highly automated; most of our equipment is controlled by Allen-Bradley PLCs.

We have immediate openings for Entry Level Production Workers in Cottage Grove, OR. This position pays $20.47/hr at hire and $22.47/hr after 30 days of employment. NO paycheck deduction for health insurance – single & family coverage. 2.5% 401k match and 5% company contribution.

Key Functions – full training provided:

  • Operate a forklift
  • Monitor lumber quality on a conveyor belt
  • Operate a machine that sorts, stacks, bands, or tags lumber
  • Clean up debris

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be available to work any shift any schedule in a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be willing to follow all safety rules and policies
  • Be able to lift 2-20 pounds regularly, climb steps and ladders, and stand or work up to 3 hours at a time for 10-13 hours
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical
