Role Overview: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk oversees the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies for CrewBoss. They verify materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate departments/locations. They prepare items for shipment ensuring cost effective logistic services. The production environment is fast paced and requires a high attention to detail. This position reports to the CrewBoss Buyer/ Planner.

Salary Range: $13.00 – $19.00 Hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare shipments for delivery; UPS, Fed EX, & DHL; packs items to ensure safe delivery.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation correctly.
  • Maintain accuracy in inventory and shipments.
  • Checks items to be shipped against orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
  • Sorts, counts, packages, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received as needed.
  • Maintain inventory control, ensuring physical movement aligns with electronic movement by use of computer or scanner technology, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
  • Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
  • Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments when necessary.
  • Operate warehouse equipment when necessary. May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain operations in compliance with GAAP.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, safety, and inventory control standards.
  • Perform routine warehouse maintenance ensuring proper storage and labelling of locations and product.
  • Perform local deliveries as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and safe working environment.
  • Return all tools and equipment to their designated spot after each use.
  • Regularly inspect, clean equipment, notify supervisor and/or facilities maintenance immediately of machines or equipment needing repair or maintenance, and take any damaged or worn tools out of service.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift/ move up to 50 pounds of material without assistance. Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance from others
Ability to sit, bend or stand for long periods of time
Ability to crawl/ crouch while cutting vinyl components
Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced
Ability to pull, pack, stack and load inventory on a regular basis
Must be able to operate an LPG forklift, standing forklift and pallet jack

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Computer literate
Warehouse/ manufacturing shipping & Receiving experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of commercial shipping methods and procedures
Forklift experience preferred.
