This full-time position is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of multiple pieces of equipment to meet the needs of the production schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensures equipment is ready to run at startup

· Adjusts machinery to create maximum efficiency while maintaining quality product

· Reports issues to maintenance team in a timely manner

· Reports issues or inefficiencies to the Production Supervisor

· Makes recommendations to further increase efficiencies

· Troubleshoots issues and perform minor maintenance

· Ensures downtime is filled with efficiency between jobs

· Maintains a clean work area

· Operates machinery and equipment according to instructions

· Follows reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor

· Complies with all safety and health regulations

· Complies with all food certification requirements including GMP, SQF and HACCP.

· Follows and supports all company policies

· Performs other duties as requested by management

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous manufacturing experience or proven mechanical aptitude is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with management, customers and employees in a positive manner.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: High school mathematics.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to enter data into a standardized system.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply common sense. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Attention to detail essential.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands are those required of an employee working in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly. Ability to kneel, bend, squat, walk, jump lift and carry. Ability to stand and walk for at least eight hours in one day with state and federal breaks as required. Pay: $14.00 – $15.00 per hour
