Schedule: M-Th, 6a-430p
Pay: $16/hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receives decorated headwear orders from embroidery Machine Operators. Correctly and efficiently prepares headwear following established “trimming” techniques. Consult with Embroidery Operator and/or Supervisor to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems. This position description/summary reflects managements assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
Preparing Embroidery Order:
- Must make certain that correct and complete embroidered baseball caps have been completed
- Must initial Work Order’s designated boxes indicating that inventory for order is complete and properly embroidered
- Correct and efficient inspection of finished goods QC/Trimmer established standard of 400+ pcs per day
- Follows established “trimming” procedures for readying baseball caps for packaging and shipping
- Makes certain that correct embroidery thread colors and design orientation have been imputed
- Tears out backing, carefully removes foam (if used) and aligns caps in an organized manner on tables intended for Finishing/Packing Department
Additional Responsibilities:
- Must have the ability to operate embroidery machine for short intervals to prevent downtime
- Arrive on time for your scheduled shift
- Keep area clean and free of clutter.
- Monitor and understand the importance of bobbin tensions, hooping, and correct machine operation
- Must be able to communicate quality issues in real time to the embroidery operator
- Advises supervisor of any needed machine maintenance (Heat press, Cap Blocker, etc.)
- Assist others as needed
- Maintain a working knowledge of Pacific cap styles and embroidery techniques
- Practice personal safety and maintain a safe working environment for others
Skills Required:
The ability to follow verbal and written instructions is extremely important. The QC/Trimmer must be able to read and count accurately, do basic math, and write legibly.

- Exceptionally detail oriented
- Moderate on-the-job-training is typically needed
- Must have no physical limitations to standing, bending or lifting small amounts of weight (up to 10 pounds)
- Must be able to work as a team and independently
- Must be able to work on deadlines when necessary
- Must be able to work overtime during peak periods including weekends OT calculations may be available with as little as 24-hour notice during peak periods
