9Wood is currently recruiting a full-time General Production Worker for our day shift (M-Th 6am – 4:30pm, overtime is sometimes required) and swing shift (M-Th 4pm-230am).

Starting wage for this role is dependent on experience, but ranges from $12.75 – $13.45. This position is responsible to safely assemble ceiling panels per 9Wood product standards and drawings, meet quality and schedule requirements for the work center and be an engaged and effective team member to accomplish work center and 9Wood goals.

Health benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days, with additional benefits beginning after 90 days.

Responsibilities include:

• Ability to follow directions given from the lead of the dept.

• Proficient at moving and handling material within the work center

• Follow all safety policies and guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE’s

• Ability to work hard

• Understand and follow directions for varying tasks

• Stand and move around for up to 10 hours a day

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with proper form

• Ability to remain drug-free and participate in random drug screens

  •  Can effectively communicate with all parties necessary to clearly define the expectations of the finished product
  • Understands the scheduling system (DBR+) and how it affects prioritization
  • Follows the schedule set by the work centers dispatch list (DBR+)
  • Follows SOP’s to ensure correct product standards are applied
  • Proficient at accurately filling out moving load tickets, master load tickets and entering data into the DBR system

Key Result Area #3: Give feedback to capacity planning

  • Develops load rates for work center tasks
  • Monitor and updates work center rates
  • Gives feedback on system performance for continuous improvement
